Gender Equality in the Property Sector

Unlike many companies currently making the headlines, Lanes Land & New Homes are pleased to announce their sales, marketing and administration teams feature more women than men – with the gentlemen being outnumbered across the company by 2:1!

Lanes MD Mike Franklin said ‘With gender politics being a current ‘hot potato’ and the #MeToo and #TimesUp movements sweeping the globe, we’re doing our bit to help change what many see as a male dominated property sector’.

Modern working practices and a strong ‘team effort’ ethos help staff at all levels within the Company to fulfil their family commitments as well as doing a great job for its clients. ‘At no time is the male/female thing an issue’ Mike continued ‘and wherever possible, new roles are filled from within the existing teams to good effect’.

With many of the company’s longest serving employees being female Lanes remain keen to encourage as many women as possible to consider a career in property – and to enjoy the varied opportunities to progress and develop it will bring.
